If you’re reading this, chances are you’re on a quest for something more out of life. Maybe you’ve already done a lot of work on yourself, read books, listened to podcasts, or even tried therapy. But despite all of that, you still feel stuck. Or maybe this is your first step towards personal growth.
Whatever led you here, there is a reason why you came.
My first answer to you though is that you don’t necessarily need a coach, but you WANT one.
You WANT to figure out what you truly want, how to unclog your engines and accelerate in the direction of YOUR potential, dreams and desires. You WANT a road trip partner and a map- Because embarking on this journey alone can be a long and lonely one.
A coach will walk beside you, give you personalised support, guidance and accountability so that you can stay clear and focussed in exploring your goals and dreams and make powerful progress towards them.
Overall, a coach will help you break through the barriers that have been holding you back so that you will start living your full potential and achieve what YOU want out of life.
Therapy is like taking your broken down car to a mechanic to figure out what’s wrong with it. The mechanic will diagnose the issue and work with you to fix it. Therapy therefore is focused on taking the individual from dysfunctional to functional, addressing past trauma, emotional wounds, and mental health issues, helping the individual develop coping skills to manage them.
Coaching, on the other hand, is like having a personal trainer to help you get your car’s engine running optimally. Coaching is focused on taking you from a functional state to an optimal one. A coach will work with you to identify your pains, desires and goals, develop a plan to achieve them, and provide you with the support, guidance, and accountability you need to get you there. Although in holistic coaching we do visit past issues in order to deeply understand your present situation, we don’t linger there for too long as we are more focused on helping you move forward and unlocking your fullest potential.
